Eva Leick is a research fellow in the project Ružake gila – Ružas Lieder – Ruža's songs.
She received her PhD in Dance Studies (University of Salzburg) in 2023 on Khaita - Joyful Dances, which is a collection of Tibetan songs and dances compiled by the well-known Dzogchen Buddhist Professor Namkhai Norbu (1938-2018) from 2011 on. Previously, she studied German and English / American Studies at Karl-Franzens-University in Graz (BAs and Mag., graduated in 2017) and, among others, taught German as a foreign language at Williams College in the USA.
Eva Leick is also a founding member and dancer of the contemporary dance company subsTanz (since 2017) in Graz. Besides her commitment to the independent contemporary dance scene in Graz, she is also interested in Tibetan Buddhism and peace research through embodied practice.
