The digital exhibition "Objects and the Archive: Episodes in the Development of Music and Minorities Research" takes an object-based, episodic approach to tracing the development of music and minorities research at the Department of Folk Music Research and Ethnomusicology (IVE) at the mdw.
Ursula Hemetek and Svanibor Pettan (MMRC Advisory Board member) received a certificate of recognition from the ICTMD Study Group on Music and Minorities.
Publication of the first contribution to the new "Forum" section: “Sounding Together: A Conversation with Musicians from the Jewish-Palestinian Peace Initiative Standing Together Vienna” by Isabel Frey.
MMRC research in the media: Chae-Lin Kim’s project, “Music for the Eye? An Ethnographic Study of Sign Choirs in German-speaking Countries” was featured in Die Presse.

The MMRC journal Music & Minorities (M&M) has published a new special collection of articles entitled "Music, Migration and Belonging in 21st-Century Europe" (open access).
The FWF research project "Made in YUGOSLAVIennA: Balkan Music and Multiple Marginality" by Jelena Gligorijević and Adriana Sabo had a promising start at the MMRC, and we're looking forward to sharing more details about it.
In her FWF project, our colleague Chae-Lin Kim, is researching sign language choirs in German-speaking countries. Thanks to her initiative, content from her project is now also available in sign language on our website.
