Special Collection “Beyond Research and Activism: Reflections, Positions, and Considerations from the MMRC Symposium”
Following the symposium, we continue to engage with the ideas, discussions, and perspectives it brought to the fore – many of which remain open, generative, and far from exhausted. They invite ongoing reflection, further exploration, and critical elaboration.
A special collection in journal Music & Minorities, titled “Beyond Research and Activism: Reflections, Positions, and Considerations from the MMRC Symposium,” will provide a space for these conversations to continue in written form. It is envisioned as a collection of texts from symposium participants and are dedicated to reflecting on what was presented, expanding on its broader implications or engaging with both reflective and critical perspectives.
The special collection will appear in the “Forum” section of our journal, which provides a space for contributions that do not fit the conventional categories of peer-reviewed articles or reviews, yet offer lasting value to the field of study within the journal’s scope.
Further details will be announced shortly.
