Jelizaveta (Lis) Vovka (no pronouns) is a research assistant in the research project Reverse Ethnomusicology: Migrant Musicians as Researchers (TAI724). Lis studied dance and musicology at the University of Salzburg. Meanwhile, Lis has an interest in empirical (music) sociology and ethnomusicology, which they are currently deepening in their master's degree in musicology at the University of Vienna. Their master's thesis is a qualitative study on queer safer spaces in Viennese club culture.

Privately, Lis is a trained ballet dancer and engages as a DJ on a voluntary basis. In addition, Lis was a learning buddy for young refugees in Salzburg as part of the Caritas project “Lernen macht Schule”.
