An interactive Fishbowl session for sharing and discussing individual and collective viewpoints, ideas, and aspirations.
This closing session invites all participants to engage in an open and dynamic dialogue. Building on the themes and discussions developed throughout the symposium, the Fishbowl format creates space both for extending key conversations and for introducing perspectives that may not yet have been represented.
The Fishbowl consists of a small inner circle of eight chairs, including a moderator, surrounded by a larger outer circle of audience members. One chair in the inner circle remains open at all times, enabling audience members to enter the discussion at any point, while those in the outer circle listen and observe. Participants are encouraged to move freely between listening and speaking roles, allowing the conversation to evolve organically as different voices enter and leave the dialogue.
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, interests, and positions – scholars, practitioners, and members of the public alike – to contribute their thoughts, questions, and reflections, or to remain in the audience until they choose to join the discussion. By foregrounding participation, exchange, and attentive listening, this session creates space for articulating personal and collective insights and for reflecting on the implications and future directions emerging from the symposium’s conversations – bringing the event to a participatory ending.
